Movie Posters

As i was browsing the net last week, (i was searching for Evangelion pics) i came upon this movie poster. Of course at first i though it was for real & really got me excited. Whoa a Live Action Eva movie.. that would be great...
But careful inspection of the pic revealed that it was fake..hehe (bubble bursts).
But as I am amazed by the thought of having hollywood versions of Anime series (and could be near reality as shown by the Transformers movie & the up & coming Voltron movie) I decided to create movie posters of my fave anime series (of course Eva being one of them has been taken care of

Neon Genesis Evangelion is my favorite anime series. Well i would even consider it my favorite story and favorite book (because i dont read much, im a visual person so i consider evangelion as book, weird huh? hehe).
Neon Genesis Evangelion (hereafter reffered as Eva) started running on japanses TV on October 1995 and ran for 26 episodes with two movies that can be thought of as an alternative (and a more appropriate) ending to the series. The two movies replaces the last 2 episodes of the series as the ending. It is created by Hideaki Anno. There are current efforts to remake the evangelion series and alive action movie. (Can't wait for that)
The series gave so much focus on the human psyche, what affects our feelings, what affects other peoples feelings. It's hard to elaborate. Bottomline is People hurt each other when they are too close with each ones feelings. Basically that's what I've grasped in the series. I even bought a complete set of the eva series DVD just so I could watch it over and over.
Yes, Eva is a super-robot action series but there's more to it. The super robots are mere metaphors of humanity and the pilots (and basically all other characters) are the soul. Eva basically focuses on the human psyche.
Hideaki Anno (creator of the Eva series) quoted,
" It's strange that Evangelion' has become such hit, all the charecters are so sick "
You could consider that Eva characters struggles with their interpersonal relationships, inner demons, trauma making them complex to relationships.
Also according to Anno, Eva is an attempt to make all perspectives into one. Each character represents different psychological perspectives to different viewers, so it would be impossible to arrive at one single theory. Anno suffered clinical depression prior to creating Eva, and would seem the main goal was to present characters who reflected the deep depression and eventual recovery that he experienced prior to working on Eva.

I see myself refelected in the Eva series, I see the same dilemma's, same relationship issues, same way of thinking, same actions. That's why I liked it. Its as if I'm looking at a mirror. A mirror that reflects my pysche.

Anyway its a non-working holiday today, as per Presidential Decree number number aplhanumeric ek-ek. But i'm here at work. I'm supposed to be doing something, but guess what, i'm exploiting this company's internet access to write here. (It's nice they haven't blocked tabulas, since they have already blocked other blogging sites such as blogdrive and i.ph, oh well)
Maybe i'll start working a little later, that is if i find the ever so illusive will to work.
Referring to my post above, Sir raffy Pareds (of Manila Bulletin's Picture Perfect) emailed me not to miss tomorrow's issue of manila bulletin. Maybe he's gonna post my pictures or the letter that i have sent to him a couple of weeks ago (cross fingers).
I have visited a few blogsites here, and i'm really amazed by their blog layouts (siep-->envious) hehe. I hope i will also find the time to personalize my blog lay-out (like what i did to my blogdrive, which of course i have closed now hehe..)

I only have 4 days to wrap everything up.
I have a pending presentation to the VP of our department which I pray would not fit in anytime on this 4 day period so I wont have to face the feeling of nervousness. Also, presenting to VP will mean additional work for which I would still have to fit in in that 4 day period.
whew.
This is my second entry today.
Around 3PM my office crush came to work. Of course she doesn't know that i have a crush on her. She's a little bit older than me (i think she's 27) and she already is in a relationship 9of which i feel that she is really happy of) and i'm happy for her. It's enough that i see her everyday, looking fresh as ever, looking very neat, looking very sweet, looking very cute (she's really cute today in her black blouse & jeans).
But my seatmate (although she's not here right now), of which i always babble my admiration for my crush tells that she's not cute and she's not pretty. Oh well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. She still looks cute to me ^__^
Speaking of cute... I have always set a personal measure on the level of a girls beauty. Actually there are five levels. These are:
1st - Cute: Means a girl is cute and petite. This is more of a face asset. Not really looking at the physique. Example: Hmmm, Sarah Geronimo is cute hehe. Iya Villania, Kim Chiu etc.
2nd - Pretty: Means a girl is really feminine and really really nice to look at. Also, more of face asset, defined facial features and physique. Example: Hmmm, Let me say Maja Salvador, Nikki Gil, etc
3rd - Beautiful: Means a girl is really feminine, unique facial features and physique. Example: This is hard, hehe. For me i think it would be the Miss World or Miss Universe types. Anne Curtis could also be one.
4th - Gorgeous: This is the ultimate total package. Example: Angelina Jolie and the likes.
Hehe just my personal opinion. You can shoot me if you want to, hehe. Also there is another level but I don't know whwere to place it. The other level is Hot hehe.. need further explanation?? hehe.
Oh, my crush already left. Well, so much for today Bye cuteness
Bruce a.k.a. Bulinggit

We have a new puppy. My mom adopted this puppy from one of the neighbors because it was bullied by bigger dogs. And being that we only have one dog, my mom decided to adopt the little doggy. His name is Bruce.
| The previous owner said Bruce has a breed. She said it is of the type that never grows big, although she is not quite sure of the breed name. I assume that Bruce could be a mix of a chihuahua or a JRT and some other type of dog. We call Bruce, Bulinggit because that he is so small. And also in the tradition of naming our dogs based on thier appearance (Taba's brother who died a last year was named Ungos, meaning snout, because he has a black snout despite his brown color. Taba was named taba because when he was a puppy he looks like a barrel because of his fatness. |
